Privacy Policy

1. The short version

• We collect your email address and the maintenance records you enter.
• We never see your card details. Stripe handles all payments.
• We never send marketing email. We do not sell or share your information.
• You can export or delete everything at any time.

2. What we collect

Information you give us:

• Your email address
• Your password, stored only as an encrypted hash. We cannot read it.
• The maintenance data you enter: odometer readings, service dates, service records, notes, and any custom items you create

Information we receive from Stripe:

• A customer reference number
• Your subscription status and renewal date

We do not receive or store your card number, expiry date, or security code.

Technical information: our hosting provider records standard server data such as IP addresses and request times, for security and to keep the service working.

3. Why we collect it

• Your email address identifies your account, lets you reset your password, and lets us contact you about the service.
• Your maintenance data is the product. It is stored so it appears on all your devices.
• Subscription status controls whether your account has full or read-only access.

4. Email we send

We send only these messages:

• Password reset links, when you ask for one
• Payment receipts and renewal notices, sent by Stripe
• Notice of significant changes to these terms or to the price

We send no marketing email, no newsletters, and no promotional messages. There is no mailing list.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for advertising.

We use three service providers to operate:

• Supabase — stores your account and your maintenance data
• Cloudflare — hosts the website and routes email sent to us
• Stripe — processes payments and stores your card details

Each provider has its own privacy policy. They may store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Data held in another country can be accessed by the authorities of that country under its laws.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

• While you subscribe: we keep everything.
• If your subscription ends: we keep your data for at least one year, so you can return without losing your history. After one year we may delete inactive unpaid accounts.
• If you delete your account: your data is removed immediately and permanently.

Stripe keeps payment records for its own legal and accounting obligations, separately from us.

7. Security

Your data is protected by database access rules that allow only your own account to read your records. Passwords are hashed. All traffic uses encryption in transit.

No system is completely secure. Export your records as a PDF if you want a copy that does not depend on us.

8. Your rights

You can:

• See your data — it is all visible in the application
• Export your data — use the PDF export at any time, including in read-only mode
• Correct your data — edit any record in the application
• Delete your data — use the Account screen. This is immediate and permanent.
• Ask what we hold — write to us and we will tell you
• Withdraw consent — delete your account

9. Cookies

We use one browser storage item, to keep you signed in. It is necessary for the service to work.

We use no advertising cookies and no analytics tracking.

10. Children

The service is not for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Write to us if you believe a child has made an account.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the last change. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the application.
